DENIM
Sashiko was a centuries old Japanese embroidery technique utilizing thick yarns to reinforce points of strain on a garment. It was reinvented as a durable fabric with a textured face that was first used for firefighters and then martial artists. Today, the fabric has been refined, modernized and combined with indigo dying techniques. The D16 Sashiko carries on this beautiful tradition with a heavy weight sashiko jeans that includes pure copper rivets (USA) and a super thick 10oz natural leather patch that will patina to a caramel brown. Additionally, the sashiko fabric will begin dark blue but fade to a beautiful sky blue with wear.
